June 14th, 2026
2nd Sunday after Pentecost
PRÉLUDE / ORGAN VOLUNTARY:
NOTRE APPORCHE VERS DIEU / OUR APPROACH TO GOD
BIENVENUE, PRIÈRE ET APPEL À LA CÉLÉBRATION / GREETING, PRAYER AND CALL TO WORSHIP
(Se lever / Congregation rises as the Minister enters)
As I live every day, I want to be a channel for peace. May I bring love where there is hatred and healing where there is hurt; joy where there is sadness, and hope where there is fear. I pray that I may always try to understand and comfort other people, as well as seeking comfort and understanding from them. May I choose always to be a light in the darkness, a help in times of need, and a caring honest friend. And may justice, kindness, and peace flow from my heart forever. Amen.
Holy and generous is God, the Creator of all things.
Loving and gracious is Christ, the Bearer of healing and hope.
Gentle and wise is the Holy Spirit, the Breath of new life.
Trinity of grace, we call on you today.
Come and worship the God who made us and loves us all!
We come with joyful praise and hopeful hearts!
The Grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all.
And also with you.
Holy, holy, holy, Lord God almighty!
Early in the morning our song shall rise to Thee;
Holy, holy, holy, merciful and mighty,
God in Three Persons, blessed Trinity! (Sung)

Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Forever and ever, Amen.

PSAUME / RESPONSIVE READING: Psalm 127
Unless the Lord builds the house, those who labour in it labour in vain.
Unless the Lord guards the city, the guard keeps watch in vain.
It is in vain that you rise up early and go late to rest, eating the bread of anxious toil; for the Lord gives sleep to the beloved.
Sons are indeed a heritage from the Lord, the fruit of the womb a reward.
Like arrows in the hands of a warrior are the sons of one’s youth.
Blessed is the man who has his quiver full of them.
All: He shall not be put to shame when he speaks to his enemies in the gate.

For those who have expressed interest in singing as a choir, we are including a list of upcoming hymns to give people the opportunity to learn their parts on their own ahead of time. Please sit on the side closest to the video camera, or see France at the beginning of the service for sitting assignment. It is important to note that people should not wear perfume while singing close to others.
How to proceed to study the music on your own:
For regular attendees who read music, you may take pictures of the hymns in the hymn book for you to practice at home for the next service. For those learning by ear, many common hymns are available on you tube where you can listen to them ahead of time. During services, the organist always plays the entire hymn once as an introduction, giving you a head start on how it goes.
