Welcome to Evelyn Lydia Metivier who was baptized this morning.
Please join us for cake after worship as we celebrate together.
The Community Christmas Hamper Campaign officially kicked off yesterday. There is a box in the narthex in which you can place your donations. Remember that monetary donations are also appreciated, as the committee purchases turkeys and other perishable items for the hampers.
Again this year, we will be collecting warm socks, mittens, toques, and scarves which will be given to those who need them. It gets very cold here in the winter, and often people living on the streets find it difficult to get these items. Please be generous in your gifts to others.

BIENVENUE, PRIÈRE ET APPEL À LA CÉLÉBRATION / GREETING, PRAYER AND CALL TO WORSHIP
(Se lever / Congregation rises as the Minister enters)
As I live every day, I want to be a channel for peace. May I bring love where there is hatred and healing where there is hurt; joy where there is sadness, and hope where there is fear. I pray that I may always try to understand and comfort other people, as well as seeking comfort and understanding from them. May I choose always to be a light in the darkness, a help in times of need, and a caring honest friend. And may justice, kindness, and peace flow from my heart forever. Amen.
Those who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength.
They shall mount up with wings as eagles;
They shall run and not be weary;
They shall walk and not faint.
In the company of all God’s saints and pilgrims, come and worship.
We come with prayer and praise to find our strength renewed!
The Grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all.
And also with you.
Holy, holy, holy, Lord God almighty!
Early in the morning our song shall rise to Thee;
Holy, holy, holy, merciful and mighty,
God in Three Persons, blessed Trinity! (Sung)

See what love God has given us that we should be called children of God; and that is what we are. Evelyn Lydia Metivier, you are now received by Christ’s appointment into the holy catholic church. Through baptism, God has made you members of the household of God, to share with Christ in the priesthood of all believers. Remember your baptism and give thanks. Be one with us in the church.
Come, grow with us into Christ who is our head. “there is one body and one Spirit, just as you were called to the one hope of your calling, one Lord, one faith, one baptism, one God and Father of us all, who is above all and through all and in all.”
HYMN: 521 CHILD OF BLESSING, CHILD OF PROMISE (3 – 4)

PRIÈRE DE CONFESSION / PRAYER OF CONFESSION
Gracious God, you have been faithful to us in every generation. Yet we confess that we are not so faithful to you.
We shrink from costly discipleship and we seek cheap grace.
Forgive our fleeting enthusiasms and our shallow commitments. And guide us always with the love and mercy we witness in Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
LE NOTRE PÈRE / THE LORD’S PRAYER
Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our debts as we forgive our debtors. Lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil, for thine is the kingdom and the power and the glory. Forever and ever, Amen.

PSAUME / RESPONSIVE READING: Psalm 149
Praise the Lord!
Sing to the Lord a new song, God’s praise in the assembly of the faithful.
Let Israel be glad in their maker, let the children of Zion rejoice in their ruler.
Let them praise God’s name with dancing, making melody to the Lord with tambourine and lyre.
For the Lord takes pleasure in this people, and adorns the humble with victory.
Let the faithful exult in glory, let them sing for joy on their couches.
Let the high praises of God be in their throats and two-edged swords in their hands,
to execute vengeance on the nations, and punishment on the peoples.
to bind their rulers with fetters, and their nobles with chains of iron, to execute on them the judgement decreed.
This is glory for all God’s faithful ones.
(All) Praise the Lord!
GLORIA PATRI (594)
Glory be to the Father and to the Son and to the Holy Ghost. As it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end. Amen.

When available ahead of time, hymns are posted here.
For those who have expressed interest in singing as a choir, we are including a list of upcoming hymns to give people the opportunity to learn their parts on their own ahead of time. Please see France at the beginning of the service for sitting assignment. It is important to note that people should not wear perfume while singing close to others.
How to proceed to study the music on your own:
For those who read music, you may take pictures of the hymns in the hymn book for you to practice at home for the next service. For those learning by ear, many common hymns are available on you tube where you can listen to them ahead of time. During services, the organist always plays the entire hymn once as an introduction, giving you a head start on how it goes.
We are currently taking the necessary steps to upgrade to Tithe.ly's new platform.
Meanwhile, you can donate via Interac (bank transfer) to Rev. Burgess at: katherine.burgess.pcc@gmail.com
