NOTRE APPORCHE VERS DIEU / OUR APPROACH TO GOD
BIENVENUE, PRIÈRE ET APPEL À LA CÉLÉBRATION / GREETING, PRAYER AND CALL TO WORSHIP
(Se lever / Congregation rises as the Minister enters)
As I live every day, I want to be a channel for peace. May I bring love where there is hatred and healing where there is hurt; joy where there is sadness, and hope where there is fear. I pray that I may always try to understand and comfort other people, as well as seeking comfort and understanding from them. May I choose always to be a light in the darkness, a help in times of need, and a caring honest friend. And may justice, kindness, and peace flow from my heart forever. Amen.
To you, O God, we lift our hearts.
Listen to our voices and answer.
The Lord is good and forgiving, abounding in steadfast love.
God does wondrous things with grace and mercy.
So let us glorify God’s holy name together!
We come to worship God in love and faithfulness.
The Grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all.
And also with you.
Holy, holy, holy, Lord God almighty!
Early in the morning our song shall rise to Thee;
Holy, holy, holy, merciful and mighty,
God in Three Persons, blessed Trinity! (Sung)
PRIÈRE D’INVOCATION / PRAYER OF INVOCATION
CANTIQUE / HYMN: 425 WE PRAISE YOU, O GOD
PRIÈRE DE CONFESSION / PRAYER OF CONFESSION
God who knows all people and all possibilities, you call us to follow you, yet we prefer familiar paths. You offer us new understanding, yet change makes us uncomfortable.
You invite us into the fullness of life, yet we often resist when the invitation comes with challenge or disruption.
Forgive us, O God, and make of us loving disciples ready to follow Jesus’ example. Amen.
LE NOTRE PÈRE / THE LORD’S PRAYER
Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our debts as we forgive our debtors. Lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil, for thine is the kingdom and the power and the glory. Forever and ever, Amen.

PSAUME / RESPONSIVE READING: Psalm 86: 1 – 10. 16 – 17
Incline your ear, O God, and answer me, for I am poor and needy. Preserve my life, for I am devoted to you; save your servant who trusts in you.
You are my God. Be gracious to me, O Lord, for to you do I cry all day long.
Gladden the soul of your servant, for to you, Lord, I lift up my soul.
For you, O Lord, are good and forgiving, abounding in steadfast love to all who call on you.
Give ear, O Lord, to my prayer; listen to my cry of supplication. In the day of my trouble I call on you, for you will answer me.
There is none like you among the gods, O Lord, nor are there any works like yours.
All the nations you have made shall come and bow down before you, O Lord, and shall glorify your name.
For you are great and do wondrous things; you alone are God.
Turn to me and be gracious to me; give your strength to your servant, save the child of your maidservant.
Show me a sign of your favour, so that those who hate me ay see it and be put to shame, because you, Lord, have helped me and comforted me.

For those who have expressed interest in singing as a choir, we are including a list of upcoming hymns to give people the opportunity to learn their parts on their own ahead of time. Please sit on the side closest to the video camera, or see France at the beginning of the service for sitting assignment. It is important to note that people should not wear perfume while singing close to others.
How to proceed to study the music on your own:
For regular attendees who read music, you may take pictures of the hymns in the hymn book for you to practice at home for the next service. For those learning by ear, many common hymns are available on you tube where you can listen to them ahead of time. During services, the organist always plays the entire hymn once as an introduction, giving you a head start on how it goes.
